Welcome to Datchworth Pre-school...

Datchworth Pre-school is a purpose built unit attached to Datchworth Village hall.

The Pre-school runs term-time only and is open for children aged between two and a half and school age.

We are pleased to be part of the flexible funding scheme and subject to availability, try to accommodate most requests. We are open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 12.15.  We also offer extended care lunch club for children who are three years plus on Monday to Friday from 12 - 1pm (parents to provide lunches).

We have team of dedicated and qualified staff and a management committee that oversee administration and fundraising.

A range of activities is available on rotation and daily crafts/activities are organised to fit in with the learning goal and theme of the week. Children are divided into small groups for some particular activities and games.

We sing grace before snack time, which is followed by quiet reading. Included in the session is time for physical play in the adjoining hall or outside if weather permits. The morning usually finishes with a story and/or songs.
